John R. Maimone, Chief Financial Officer
The Finance Office of the Diocese of Cleveland has placed its audited financial report on the web site. These statements capture diocesan revenues, primarily parish assessments and investment income. They also show how these funds are used to support the ministries of the Bishop and the administrative work of the diocesan offices.
The Finance Office joins Catholic Charities and the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland Foundation in publishing audited financial statements on their web sites. Making more information available to the members of our church is an important objective for our diocese. Previously, the Finance Office had only published their financial statements in the Universe Bulletin. Increased reporting is an important element of stewardship.
The Catholic community of northeast Ohio consists of good and generous people. Their donations fund significant activities from parishes to schools to the human services entities of Catholic Charities. Collectively, these activities are an important part of the local economy. We will continue to share more information so that you can better understand how important your contributions are in supporting good works, God's work, in our communities: worship, education and human services.
Thank you.
